  • ALERT: US Treasury change, effective Sept. 30, 2025. On this date, the Federal Government will no longer issue paper checks for payments for Social Security benefits, IRS tax refunds, and vendor payments; instead, payments will be issued electronically. Additionally, if a payment is owed to the Federal Government (taxes, loans, fines, fees), those payments must be submitted electronically. Some exceptions apply; click on the links below for details.
